Good spot to stop by for a snack. My experience here was 7.5 out of 10…. I ordered a corn, popsicles & tostadas. The tostadas needed more salsa & a little more cheese. The corn was good but very dry no juice. I would definitely go back but only for popsicles. The service was ok….
Took my kid here and we both didn't like what we ordered. I should have at least tried the stuff I bought before leaving so I could have asked for a refund. Lesson learned for me. By the time I tried the agua fresca and nieve, we were across town... To top it off, it was NOT cheap there... A friend of mine gave me a heads up that the owner is asking for high reviews at their places which seems to be bad taste. I haven't been to the other locations, so I'll give a review for this one only...
I'm actually disappointed to find out their MENU PRICES ARE NOT CORRECT! I ordered a Maranada thinking it was the $5 and some change I had seen here and at the store's menu is actually posted $3 more! The girl had already given my order when I had seen the menu trying to help my son decide for something. Paying almost $9 for what I got was a last time for me. I think this is cheating your clients period! My son's single scoop ice cream was good that's why I gave ut a 2 star but yall gotta update and post the real prices..
I am so addicted to their refreshing frozen fruit bars! Honestly, I have the mango with chamoy at least twice a week and the fresa with crema at least once a week. Since I live in San Benito, I mostly get my paletas from a shop they have them in, but love stopping in to get a paleta in Brownsville when driving from work. Must have!
Popsicles are good. Their fruit flavor paletas seem to have real fruit inside. La Pale has other treats available also.
I personally love La Pales paletas! Yes, I’m addicted. It is my go to place to get a paleta brings me memories of when we’d get some from the Paletero in Matamoros. Good old days. But I e tried a variety of their products and they are so good! My favorites are the pecan ones, limon and Chamoy!! So good!!
The elote en vaso had a nasty smell to it.Also, it had no flavor at all very plain.For a small is over $5.What a rip off!!! I rather keep it simple and go somewhere else where it's less expensive and better flavor.
